How does a Brown SuperBio Belt look?

Thanks all for your input! Sorry I've been so slow to respond. I got started on a big project Thursday afternoon and have hardly been online. I did jump on at 11:45 Thursday night and order a belt. We'll see if it meets my needs. I'm just looking for something to wear with jeans and khakis that...

How does a Brown SuperBio Belt look?

Hey All, I saw that Daltech Force has their SuperBio Belts on a flash sale today and tomorrow (8/30-31/17). I've been thinking about getting a brown one for a while, and wondered if anyone had one, and what your thoughts were on the appearance. Background: I've got a couple liger belts from...

Who's got chickens? Talk a noob into it or out of it.

Regarding the cost of materials for a coop, as a couple have mentioned, if you can find some old materials, you don't have to spend a bunch of money. I didn't buy a Single thing for my coop, just used stuff I had around. It's a mobile coop that seats 28, and is way over built. If you just want...

Who's got chickens? Talk a noob into it or out of it.

Dosproduction: We didn't do any supplemental heat for our birds last year, just kept the water thawed, and they seemed to do just fine. We did have 25 birds sleeping in a 4x8 coop though, so they stay pretty cozy.

Who's got chickens? Talk a noob into it or out of it.

We've had between 25-40 chickens for about a year and a half. A few points I'd make: 1. If you want them for health benefits, you should give them plenty of pasture. Rotational grazing is the best way to go, but a really large pasture would work. We have a roll of Portable electric fence...

      Trauma Bag Suggestions

I agree with the comments on building your own kit, and have a couple other thoughts on a car TRAUMA kit. If I have a trauma kit in my vehicle (and I do), I want it to meet a couple criteria: 1. Easy to find/access 2. Everything I need 3. Nothing I don't need. If I'm dealing with an...

      Basics Training in Southern Indiana?

I took a basic handgun handling and marksmanship class through Hoosier Hills Rifle and Pistol Club last summer. I believe they're offering it again this summer. It was excellent. I learned a ton, and would highly recommend the class to anyone else.

Help Me Find a Good Belt

Looking back through the thread, it looks like there's a lot of endorsements for Daltech Super Bio belt. I looked at those as well, and it appears to be a suspiciously similar material to the Liger (or vice versa, however you want to look at it). So I'd venture to guess they're very similar...

Help Me Find a Good Belt

I've got a Liger belt from Maxpedition. I love it. The black one is indistinguishable from leather, and looks pretty professional. I would be perfectly comfortable wearing it to work. (I don't, because I don't have a good pair of black shoes to go with it at the moment.) It's plastic, and super...

      Wow. Just..... Wow. Facepalm, anyone?

I have a friend who does airsoft, and he paints airsoft guns with rustoleum all the time. I'd imagine they get a lot more abuse than the average Glock does and they hold up just fine. I'm not one for decorating my tools, but if you're into that sort of thing, then it's probably a good, cheap...

Why do you feel safer with a grip safety?

Ok, so one function is if you get something caught in the trigger guard, but let go of the pistol before it discharges, then it could potentially prevent an injury. I can see that. Not sure that is something that I'd worry too much about, but I can understand it.

Why do you feel safer with a grip safety?

Sorry, the link wouldn't work. Did his shirt get caught in the trigger guard? There are certainly plenty of cases where people get stuff caught in the trigger guard, which pulls the trigger and causes it to fire. However, that means the trigger got pulled. I'd like to see the video, especially...

Who here doesn't own an AR and why?

I enjoy shooting handguns and shotguns more than rifles, so I concentrate the limited amount of cash I have towards those. If I do get into rifle shooting more, I think I'd rather have a more traditional rifle anyway. Just personal preference.

Why do you feel safer with a grip safety?

Ok, to start this off, I'm not trying to start an argument on what kind of safety your gun should have. That horse has been beaten to death (then revived and beaten back to death), and it mostly comes to "choose what you prefer and train to proficiency". That said, I've read a lot of people on...

What type of gloves do you wear when it gets cold out?

Those tactical insulated gloves look really nice! Has anyone got any experience with the "Winter Armor" gloves from MW? Looks like their new this year. Maybe a little bulky for range work, but they might be good as an actual cold weather glove that you could shoot with if necessary. To answer...
