      2023 Deer Season

      Got a nice doe this morning around 8 in Lafayette with my browning a-bolt in .243. Shortly after had a spike bed down about twenty yards from my stand. He hung around awhile then wandered off. Not near as many shots this morning as I expected to hear.

      I got a nice doe this evening in Boone county. No more than 15 yard shot with a .243. She didn’t go far.

      Thanks for the nice write-up. I just picked up a v-toku manbug to take place of my Vic cadet sometimes at work. So far I’m liking it. The middle layer of steel picks up a nice patina too.

      I’ve had one of the lightweight versions for a couple years now. Definitely one of my favorite Knives. Would love to pick one up like the opening post did with the g10 handles.

      Congratulations on the new toys. Looks like a PM3. If so, I think you'll be pleased with it. Mine gets as much pocket time as my manix 2, which knocked just about all of my others out of the rotation.

      Nice pistol! I have one just like it, minus the grips. Picked it up on here a few years ago and have carried it most days. It's my favorite pistol and for some odd reason, I can shoot it better than my TRP. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

      I was sitting in one of my favorite stands well before daylight, and kinda in a sleepy daze when I felt something smack my head on the side. Never saw what it was as it was still dark.       Congrats on a nice deer! Someday I'll get a deer with my recurve. Guess that's tough to do though as I sit here in the stand with my "training wheels".
