      The Senate has rejected a proposal to expand background checks on gun purchases. There was majority support, 54-46, for the signature piece of a legislative package to curb gun violence. But that wasn't enough to clear a procedural hurdle requiring 60 votes. :rockwoot:

      I did consider the .22 conversions for Glock, which are expensive and picky about the ammo, and also the Austrian Sporting Arms imitation, which looks fine, but... well... decided that I could get a lot more for my money. I got the brand new MKIII for just under $350, by the way, and every time...
