I'd recommend the SR9c or M&P 9c, but G26 is good too. I'd steer clear of the XD 9sc -- I have one, and I'm finding it to be too big, too top-heavy, and too prone to muzzle flip. :twocents:
I think we should all pay attention to some things here. (Lightly edited for spelling, grammar, and emphasis.)
Lessons learned:
1. ROUND POWER: For handguns, these were fairly heavy hitters. Yet even when shot in the face, legs, and elsewhere, these people did not stop fighting! Handguns...
You know, just smiling and nodding (or just nodding politely, for that matter) rather than trying to act BA all the time will give you (and all of us) an easier time than being the "scary guy with a gun". It's a nicer way to interact with people, including for you. Honest.
Did the wood come in that finish, or did you stain it yourself? My (otherwise identical) WASR has what I take to be untreated wood, it has no shine and there's obviously nothing infused in it. Did you have to do that yourself, and if so, what did you use, and is it sticky at all? Thanks.
It might just be trigger control. I know I tend to shoot low with M&P's.
I also find myself aiming to the 6 o'clock, but it's not designed for that like the XD is. Something about the sights, or the way it sits in my hand?
So just analyze your technique a little before messing with the gun...
You need to switch SIG and HK. Both are relatively expensive, top of the line guns, but HK, like BMW, tries to look modern and high-tech  (polymer HKs well before polymer SIGs, e.g.), whereas SIG is more like Mercedes in that it has a classic design that needs little change or refinement...
