When I started reloading way back in the mid 70's, powder was 8 bux a pound, a box of Sierra bullets was about 8 bux, and a sleeve of 100 primers was 69 cents. Of course gasoline was "only" 50 cents a gallon, too. THAT was when reloading really paid off. Man, how times have changed.
It's definitely a matter of when, not IF, any more. I live about 30 miles south of L.A. in Commiefornia and I'm concerned that all the WOKE azzhats and Metrosexuals will just throw in their towels and there will be very few of us left holding the bag. I'm 69, have no military experience, and...
UPDATE 02/09/24
I shot the local XTC match last month and I can tell you, free-floating the handguard really was worth it. I picked up 46 points and shot a personal best. My old "best" was a 616 (800 possible) and my new "best" is a 662. That's just 8 points shy of moving up to Sharpshooter...

My one and only AR15 is one of their M16A4 govt model clones. Got it 2 yrs ago from Atlantic. It's a well made and dependable rifle. If you can ever find one, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I shoot xtc and service rifle matches with mine.

My 20" XTC rifle. I know the sling is on backwards. It was late and I was in a hurry. It has since been corrected.
Please pardon the grip. I live in a Commie state.
