      Looking for a sling

The MS4 is one you can't go wrong though. For a simple sling don't make it complicated. Wal-Mart sells Shockey endorsed slings that work good even in the brush.

      Keep or Sell decisions

Decisions decisions...I owned the SD9VE but wasn't impressed so it was an easy decision to part with and replaced it with a Ruger SR9C. I try to keep my guns to minimum b/c the wife wants everything locked up in my safe so there's only so much room. I constantly struggle with wanting more to...

      New pocket gun

I've never considered a Savage but will definitely give it a look.

Are compact/sub compact guns really inaccurate?

Subcompacts are difficult if you have large hands. It makes trigger control and accuracy very difficult. I have a Ruger SR9C which is super accurate right out of the box. It's compact enough for a good feel in your hand and accurate enough to help the shooter feel confident hitting the center...

      Black Powder firearms discussion

That's a beautiful piece of work. Flintlock is on my wish list. I love muzzleloaders! I've had an old Knight using #11 cap for nearly 20 years. This year I picked up a TC Omega updated to the 209. I love both guns but the traditionalist in me still wants a Flintlock. Any suggestions?

US recognizes Jerusalem as capital of Israel

A move long overdue. Our nation should've stopped worrying about Palestine way before they starting back sourcing Al Queda weapons. With ISIS in our world today we can make this important decision despite the outcry from Palestinian govt. MY :twocents:

You can relax now, your Hillary Clinton Christmas Tree top is available.

Does owning one take you off the Clinton hit list? Asking for a friend.

The case against shiny defensive firearms.

Carry what pleases you. I've been in Iraq twice & never gave a flip what my weapon looked like only that it worked when needed. It's a different story if you're a sniper but that was not the OP position. If you need to draw your weapon you've deemed a (your) life in danger and you should be...

      Favorite MZ load for deer?

Saboted .44 caliber Hornady XTP with 120 grain of Pyrodex in my Knight .50 caliber does the trick every time.

First 1911.. the good and the bad!

Dean Crail, To piggy back on the comment & for someone simply looking for a 1911 should I still pursue a Colt or would Kimber & SS do just as well? Maybe most own a Colt due to its history.

      Why 40 Smith and Wesson

I never cared much about handguns until recently. I grew up with only rifles and shotguns. The Navy used a 45 and I thought it was okay. I bought a 9MM and sold it within a year since I didn't really care for it. Later I bought a Beretta PX4 S&W 40. It's bulky but it's a blast to shoot. I bought...

      I think I have a problem.....

I also noticed the lack of proper gun control. Too many think they've been around guns so long that nothing can go wrong. That's usually when it does. I've never seen turkey come in like that. Normally they run with any sort of unfamiliar movement such as him walking toward them. That's...

First Deer Meat Picked Up From Butcher... What do you normally get?

If I do it myself I keep it simple to steaks, roast, stew meat, & tenderloins. Recently I tried a processor a local gun shop recommended and ordered all previously listed plus sausage & burger meat. I'm not fond of deer burger but it does okay as spaghetti meatballs, in chili, or to give away.

Went to INDY 1500 Gun & Knife Show

I haven't been to the 1500 but plan to attend. My experience with gun shows is most are overpriced and it's best to note the dealer and their location then go visit them after the show. Hopefully the next show will be well worth the fees to get in the door. The eye candy mentioned above...

      States that honor Indiana's LTCH

I definitely couldn't live in NJ. I'm originally from MS and you can still drive around with guns on display. Remember the window gun hangers for the back window of trucks? You see them all the time but not as much as when I was a kid due to thefts. How can we know what states allow IN permits...
