There are a few insecticides that can be used on them. Sevin works good but doesn't last very long. Permethrin is good and can be used on fruit trees but have to read label for harvest restrictions. Some of these require a license to purchase and some variations of it wont require a license.
We got our son a Mossberg 500 to start with that worked really good for him. Used to be able to by the combo package that also came with slug barrel for only $50 more than just gun itself.

I always buy after season unless emergency, our son tore out the zipper on his insulated coveralls and no place to get fixed anymore so had to get him a quick pair this past season. Otherwise "out of season" for best deals.

When I received mine, somewhere I lost the little bag of hardware/allenwrench to make adjustments so I emailed them and within 3-4 days they responded and sent it to me within a few days at no charge. Ive been pleased with them so far.
I really like the Polaris . I don't have power steering but a friend has it and it is nice but I personally wouldn't pay the extra $1000. I think that I would spend the extra cash on bigger size if possible. As mentioned in a earlier post with all the weight the bigger would handle it better...
