Is Walmart friendly with the Brady Campaign?

I was wondering if anyone knows for sure whether or not Walmart contributes money to the Brady Campiagn. I read it on Chuck Hawks website but I have not found anything concrete for myself. They have some good deals over here in Aurora, but I don't want to give my money to a company that is in...

      I want to be a gunsmith...but how?

I have recently decided that I want to be a gunsmith, but I am not sure how to go about achieving that goal. I have looked at online courses (Penn Foster and others), AGI, and tried to find a trade shcool nearby but to no avail. If there any smithys out there I would really appreciate your...

      1911 SA/DA

All true 1911's are SAO. The DAO Para that the others are referring to is called the LDA(light double-action) and I think that if you are not comfortable with carrying "cocked and locked" that they are a good alternative...until you come around.:D

What 1911 is best under $1,000? Para, Springfield , Kimber, Colt, etc?

Don't discount some of the "cheapo" 1911's. I have and carry a 5" Citadel 1911 and it has never malfunctioned in any way. Personally, I don't want to have to deal with "breaking in" a defensive pistol and that can be the case with some of the bigger names (Kimber and Para come to mind). I...

      Anyone CC a .44 mag?

I know that the .357 mag and .45 acp are pretty much at the top when it comes to defense against two-legged vermin, at least as far as the experts say, but I have noticed that some ammo companies are putting out personal defense loads in that caliber. I was wonering if anyone here carries a .44...

      Hello from Dearborn County!

Thanks everybody. I kinda figured that would be the case about the shooting, but you never know unless you ask. That's OK...I still have airsoft! :yesway:

      Hello from Dearborn County!

Hello everyone! My family just moved to Bright from Cincinnati (I feel so free!). I also had some shooting related questions. 1). Where is the nearest public shooting range? 2). What are rules regarding backyard shooting? We live in the middle of Bright by the intersection of Jamison and State...
