      Rant: Survival Food is Annoying

 Canning - time proven, cost effective way to amass food for your family. Great skill to have. Once again time over money.

      Rant: Survival Food is Annoying

A serving is not a meal. A serving of several items would make a meal. Its nice to have some of the pre packaged food around for convenience and some variety. They can come in handy in a BOB or just backpacking. Or if just dont feel like putting in the effort of meal prep for a day or two. If...

      Undies

Curious, mylar bag or plastic vacuum bag?

      GSSF

Gotcha. Thanks for the help. That takes some pressure off my anticipated delivery. Now could someone help with arrival time for the pre registered? 04fxsts question is similar to mine. Shooters meeting? Can't wait; this should be a great time!

      Less Talked About Prepping Items

Also, another thing to think about is you might want to buy a size smaller than what you wear to compensate for weight loss. Whether you like it or not, in a prolonged SHTF situation, your going to loose weight from working harder and a more rationed diet. And if not for those things, probably...

My first outright negative OC encounter

People like her don't just perfer their perceived danger to be unseen but to not be there all. They want to wish things away. They're like a child hiding under a blanket.

Tactical Carbine Match at ACC on Saturday March 22nd

      Nevermind. I guess I should read a little more carefully. 150 rounds - that's a good number.

      Taurus 445 revolver FTF

I am the original owner and the only work was done by Taurus for being out of time. I bought it in the early 2000's and honestly haven't put a multitude of rounds through it. Its a gun that I seldom shoot. Its titanium, so very light weight causing stout recoil. I would not think that would be...

      Taurus 445 revolver FTF

Update: Mainspring pin is bent. I'm going to try to straighten it out, but also buy a new one, one way or the other. Now the question is how did it get bent. Anyone know what would cause that to happen?

      Taurus 445 revolver FTF

I have a Taurus 445 .44 spl that is giving light primer strikes in double action. Single action is no problem; always get a bang. Can anyone suggest a fix or a competent smith that works on taurus revolvers?

      Gumballhead

I'm easy to please. New Belgium, Leinenkugel's, Breckenridge, Bell's- to me variety is the spice of life, lol. One of my favorites is Breckenridge oatmeal stout. I lean to the porters and stouts, but like it all.

      Gumballhead

To each his own, but I like it. Some people can't get over the fruity aftertaste.
