What I am carrying and how I carry is largely dictated by how I am dressed. In a perfect world, 16 in the mag + 1 in the pipe + a spare mag with another 16.
If I need something that just disappears in a pocket, it's 6 + 1 + another 6.
I get that I'm still using the razor blades my grandfathers used 100 years ago, but i bought a 100 pack of blades on Amazon for $15. Screw the four or five edge ridiculousness that is called a "modern" blade.
The Mrs. has wanted a Jeep for years, and finally got a JK Wrangler Unlimited this year. Said she wanted to do some serious off road, so I recommended the Rubicon. And we love it.
I now sell them.
I'm a big fan,of Schrade knives. Bought my first one about 40 years ago. Sad that they went bankrupt and sold the brand to the Chinese.
The knife that goes into my pocket every day is a Schrade/Uncle Henry. I have owned it for 25+ years. And I have another one just like it tucked away, along...
I have a couple of Wagner skillets that my mother gave us 30+ years ago. Did some research a few years back and found that they were made in Ohio. I'll bet that they were new when she got them back in the 1940s. We still use them, and they're better than the skillets I bought in the 1980s.
Or, even if you were on this side of the ocean during WWII, like my mother, you were still dealing with the rationing of things we take for granted now ... coffee, sugar, gasoline, tires ...
I went thru two GMCs, with total mileage north of 250,000 each when I traded them in. No complaints about either one.
I currently drive an F150 SuperCrew 4x4 and love it. It's roomy and comfortable, tows well, and gets me thru mud and snow and whatever else I have faced. The back seat has...

Dagnabbit! I just put a hole in my subwoofer and then I stepped on hot brass while barefoot!
A couple of friends have talked about "common sense" laws, but when I ask them to define their position, i.e., what does it mean to them? What laws make sense? What restrictions would you actually put in place if you had the ability to write the regulations? How would these new laws reduce...
Does it count as "open carry" if you're in the check-out & your pants have sagged a bit & when you go to pull them up, you notice that your S&W in that paddle holster is sticking down an inch or two past the bottom of your jacket?
Asking for a friend ...
My wife & I took her grandfather's old .25 Beretta to a gunsmith a few years ago to have it checked out before we tried firing it. (Grandpa had been dead for about 30 years, and we were pretty sure the gun had not been fired since before he passed.)
A guy sitting off to the side in the shop...
