Another sub-compact to take a look at is the Walther PPS M2. It's got a Glock like trigger and takes down about the same. If capacity isn't an issue, it comes with a 6 rd and 7 rd mag. and 8 rounders are available.

It's probably still an open case. If the robber is still on the run they may need your gun for evidence, if they ever catch him.
