Trade gone Awry... Need Input like Johnny 5

I don't have a dog in the fight and I read both posts and all, but what strikes me the most was this statement on the other post "So I did the trade anyway" Right there it should be THE END OF THE STORY I mean really, there is no false pretense, no misrepresentation, no bait and switch...

congrats, on your new rifle, she is very nice indeed! Take good care of it so you can pass it along to your family when the time comes for we are just humble stewards to these fine pieces of equipment. Once again congrats!

      How to remove rust?

000-0000 Bronze wool with Break free (CLP). The Bronze wool will not scratch or remove the blue surface like steel wool can, been using it for years on restorations

If you had one rifle to choose from what would you pick and why?

Funny you say that, I had original had a spot for ".22 LR: Ruger 10/22. Marlin Mod. 60 or other 22 platform". I felt there really is no wrong answer just preference for what one would grab... I think I talked myself out of adding it for I figured that not enough folks would fall back on a 22...

      Chesterfield PD

way to go and great outcome all around. Personally, I have had the same experience (being pulled over and advising that I was CC'ing) both outcomes very similar to yours. In one case I didn't even have to show my drivers licence. While both hands were on the wheel the first words out of my...

School me on the WASR 10

Good reliable inexpensive AK’s, as one of our members mentioned, look for canted front site and gas blocks, aside from that they are what they are and should do what all AK’s do. From the picture you provided the rifle looks like your standard import conversion of a singles stack model...

If you had one rifle to choose from what would you pick and why?

It’s always nice to see what others value as there end all be all rifle as well as why they fall back on such a weapon. The scenario could be the worst case (god forbid), The power grid is down, government is in shambles and the rule of law went the way of the dinosaur OR you, your family and...

      9mm Reloading?

For me it's always paid to reload 9's. Even when factory ammo was cheap, and plentiful, I found I was still ahead of the game for my components cost were lower at the time and when I summed it up it didn't make sense for me to buy factory. FWIW...I had done a spread sheet after my last...

So I heard a whopper yesterday....

O'Shark, it's kind of funny but have to say thanks for the heads up!! I'm sitting here reading the OP and then I come across your posted comments and it dawns on me, ...My one tumbler is from Midway....I brought it back in the mid 90's...I do get concerned because from time to time it runs...

What will come back first, reloading supplies or factory ammo?

To me it’s just bottom feeders taking advantage of a situation. Personally I refuse to support gougers and will curtail my shooting & hobby habits until I can get the right deal for the right price... patents will prevail With the exception of bulk bricks of 22's , where I’m at, I can put my...

      Adam Lanza's Collection Graphic

All I see is in that picture is an array of inanimate objects, tools and devices that don’t know right from left or up from down. Heck I could be looking at a flyer from Wal-Mart from all that’s there. The poster on that site failed to picture the one and only true weapon that killed all...

      Reloading sub-forum?

Great idea, helps to have it broken out in a sub forum so you can key in on troubleshooting, receipt sharing and lessons learned, you know those types of experiences that don't get lost in the fray of general ammo posts. Regarding factory vs reloads.... Besides 22's I hadn't purchased a...

Quick fun project: My new strong mount

! twitty, quick couple of questions, - Do you have a welder? - Do have a grinder for cleaning up welds? - Do you have a drill to drill the holes to mount it? - Do you have a spray paint can? If you answered "yes" to all the above, PM me your address, I scrounged up some 1/8th and...

Quick fun project: My new strong mount

thanks for the kind words fellas. Regarding your question, yes sir it's strong, same thickness as the one made by Dillon, this one is just welded not bolted together like theirs is. Oh my kid asked the same thing when I was done cleaning the welds up just before I painted it, my demo for him...

Quick fun project: My new strong mount

1/8th sheet steel, weld on the angles If I had a metal break I could of bent the feet rather then cut and fab them up Unfortunately I didn't have a brake on hand, so I just cut and welded the feet on the sides, it took less then five mins to make & weld them so no real loss overall.
