      Colt Lowers

So I know Colt has ceased production of rifles to civvies. Are lowers still a thing? I remember they use to sell complete le6920 lowers I cant seem to find a Colt lower anywhere for a clone build. :(

      RL26 in 6.5cm...

I had always heard RL17 was temp sensitive so have stuck with H4350. I might have to give RL26 a try, though, I am running a 20" barrel which may not be as good for a slower powder. I have also been wanting to try n555 since seems designed for 6.5 creedmoor.

      RL26 in 6.5cm...

Interesting test! What was the reasoning for this test? My gut tells me that a slower powder like RL26 will perform better with a heavier bullet while still keeping your pressure down. Hornady 153gr A-Tips are anther bullet to consider.

      Mag pouches for AICS?

Anyone have recommendation for a mag pouch that fit AICS 10rd (sa) mags? I dont want anything with a buckle or velcro. I am wondering if a HSGI taco would fit one. Anyone have experience?

      Precision/Sniper Rifle Show and Tell

Might as well post in here. Looking to start shooting some PRC/PRS. Tikka T3x CTR 20" in 6.5 Creedmoor. Vortex PST Gen. II 5-25x50. Sitting in a KRG Bravo.

      Load Development

From what I have read, if using a small primer on 6.5 Creedmoor it is recommended to use either magnum primers or bench rest primers to aid in better powder ignition uniformity. This isn't really an issue with a large primer since there is a larger flash hole. Now, have I tested this theory or...

      Load Development

Yup it did, about a .4" group at 100 yards for this group. However, I had 2 or other groups about that size as well but they all correlated to my strings with lowest ES and SD.

      Load Development

Shooting this out of my Tikka t3x CTR (20" barrel). Bullet: 140gr ELD-M Powder: H4350 Brass: Lapua Primers: CCI #450 I plan on loading up some more at 0.02" OTL everything the same just to confirm. I feel like a single 5 shot group is not enough to go off of with those results but still made...

      Load Development

Headed out to Atturbury today to test different seating depths...After some number crunching I think it is clear what seating depth my rifle likes.:rockwoot:

Wanting to buy a Tikka TX3 Tac A1 but....

I will say, if you do get your hands on one and like it, eurooptic has some great deals on them right now. For example: https://www.eurooptic.com/JRTAC316-PST-5256-Kit.aspx

How often do you anneal brass?

Sounds like I might just anneal after ever firing for consistency then. It doesn't take much time and is easy to do. I am only bumping necks back a .002" but I since I am also using a bushing die that is slightly smaller desired neck tension then opening the neck back up with a mandrel might...

Ranges in Indiana for long range shooting

That sounds excellent! Once I get setup I think I will start showing up to these. What types of ranges does F-Practical shoot at? Never been to a shooting competition like this so I am curious how they work. Atturbury is only about 20 minutes from me so this is convenient too.

Ranges in Indiana for long range shooting

Thanks for this info. Seems like if would want to eventually start at midrange. It looks like there are multiple classes with caliber restrictions. I have a Tikka in 6.5 Creedmoor so not sure what class would be best for me if any.

Ranges in Indiana for long range shooting

That would be excellent! I have never shot prc either but am gearing up to do so. I just got my reloads dialed in for my rifle and am chomping at the bit to get out an shoot!
