      Sig Sauer 226 Recommendation

Truer words... MK25 for me. My best gun and it 'shoots better than me' as someone has said. Caveat-- a SRT is a must. $40 and 15-20min and you're GTG. I don't own a Legion but my training partner does and she loves it. I'm not sure the ROI is worth it, personally....but I've never...

And the new FBI handgun is.......

annnnnd there was a little problem. BREAKING: Glock 17M Recalled By Police Department - The Firearm Blog "...The Firearm Blog’s source within the department declined to be named and only spoke on the condition of anonymity about the problems. Our source stated that the slides were falling off...

Glock 43: Taran Tactical +2 and Maggutz +1

Hope you're enjoying the TTs. I tried Pearce (highly recommend against; inexpensive is good and some real estate for the pinky is good but one Tap/Rack and it was blood blister city.) I got a couple Strike Industries +2... function fine, inexpensive, matches the gun's grip...but they're big...

      Howard Stern on Orlando

Always loved him but you said it, man. It's our generation's Kennedy Moment. I'll forever associate Howard with that morning.

      Chris Sajnog

I have his first book and it helped me. Especially re: trigger-finger-placement dogma. Great vids!

      What would you have done?

Well I know I'll be spending more time practicing one-handed, that's for sure. I won't Monday Morning this guy. God knows what I would've done.

      The "Sig"ness- vol 1.

Same here. Love the 357SIG round. What a bloody rocket. Rather than get beat up by my G33, I got a barrel for favorite; my loved, worn and scarred .40Scorpion 229. I wish the caliber caught on a bit better/more so the price of ammo would go down. Great suggestion, Expat.

~$2K budget for good AR. Suggestions?

The great options keep coming. I truly appreciate the feedback. DD and Colt are now in the mix. I won't spend the $ if it isn't needed. Sorry I can't respond to PMs as a greenhorn.

Dave Spaulding on the Current State of Firearms Training

Roger that. My daily kit always matches my belt and shoes so I don't stand out too much. Just NVG, helmet, knee and elbow pads, chest rig etc. You know; the usual. Except that one time I wore my white plate carrier after labor day. Oh the shame I felt.

      New Vz Grips

They look like the same ones that come on the SIG "1911-NI." Realllll aggressive. Love'm. That color looks great w/that Colt.

~$2K budget for good AR. Suggestions?

All great input. I appreciate it. I'll look into JP. I haven't heard of them. Ammo and mags are on hand and training is the plan. My current carbine would not make it through a class without being a complete frustration and drag on the class. The expectations are to be a reliable...

~$2K budget for good AR. Suggestions?

Opie, you're an enabler, sir, and that's why I likes ya. Sloughfoot- great point. I have shot a RR and the owner believes in it 100%....an option for sure. Hop - irons, yes. Optics, no. And the SIG will "need" a Geissele. Planning on this being a 'buy once, cry once' so I'll be buying a...

~$2K budget for good AR. Suggestions?

I'm looking to get better with a carbine (not like I could get much worse!) and don't love the two 1990-91 Colts I have. ...one is a 20" and the carbine is in 7.62x39. The "AK" caliber one is a bigger thump than I want for defense and training and more important; it has feeding issues which...
