      The SIG P250

Honestly I was one of the early adopters of this Sig. For me the original grip is a perfect fit and I did try the others. The DA trigger is reminiscent of some of the old S&W DA revolvers. Has the gun been perfect? No. Initially, some light strikes. As the gun broke itself in, they went...

Do you carry with a round chambered?

I am careful to examine the round if it has been rechambered multiple times to ensure that it hasn't been seated too deeply. If so, I remove it from circulation. I generally carry double action only pistols concealed. At work, it doesn't matter, but they are all always ready to go.

      Clever Device for Firearms

FYI, I recently ran into something called the Quick Draw Gun Magnet sold by Arizona Armor. It's a powerful plastic coated magnet with a grommeted base that can be fastened either by screw or nail or with velcro to attach a firearm just about anywhere it will fit. I've got one in the side pocket...

      What Pistol to Choose?

Hate to sound like a broken record but there are a lot of good reasons - Glock 19. My first, my service weapon, never, ever a bobble in thousands of rounds.

      Used vs. New

If it's a private sale on a used gun, I'd ask for a 3 day non-firing inspection. That way you've got a chance to indulge in buyer's remorse if something doesn't look quite right - and a chance to check the piece with someone who'd know, if you don't feel knowledgeable enough to do so. This is...

Southern IN. defensive pistol class interest?

No reply from WSSC? That's only a mile from my place and where I usually shoot!. I'd definitely be in if that was the location.

      Holster classified suggestion

Considering some of the threads I've read here, and the misunderstandings and miscommunications over the slightest provocation that happen, I suppose it is too much too expect. You'd think that in the interest of actually selling something you want/need to sell that complete information would...

      Holster classified suggestion

I think it would be helpful for those browsing for a holster to be able to see from the item title whether a holster is LH or RH or ambi right off the bat rather than having to click on the thread only to find out it's "wronghanded" or having to PM the owner of the item to find out.

      Kahr Polymer Pistols?

PM9 is my EDC. During break-in a couple of failures to go into battery, solved with the slightest thumb nudge. After break-in (a couple hundred rounds), no problems whatsoever. I have always felt that the polymer frame helps absorb recoil. Very accurate for its short barrel length. Have to...

      Phoenix Arms

I just used loc tite on the top safety - had to replace the mag release button once but customer service was very responsive and got a new one with instructions to me right away. Hey, it's not a Buckmark but you probably knew that going in.

      Glock 30 sf appears

Still pretty chunky Fondled one in Evansville. Not that much difference between regular and sf. Still pretty chunky. I'll stick with my 36 and sacrifice a few rounds for holster interchangeability with my 19

It actually just becomes automatic. Shoot till the slide locks back, slide in a full mag, release the slide lock and fill the chamber. Then pop out the mag and top it off.

      Indiana permit good in Mississippi

Another site has tried to pick up the ball: Handgunlaw.us They've got a build a carry permit map, a comprehensive reciprocity map and they appear to be building a compendium of state laws. I've bookmarked it as a substitute for the late lamented packing.org

      Kahr Handguns

The PM9 is my EDC. It is light, snappy to shoot, but extremely accurate and I have found mine to be reliable thus far with several thousand rounds through it. I put XS Big Dots on mine for a very quick target acquisition.

Checking in from the west side of Evansville. Just found the site and like the tone of the folks here. Feel like I'm in good company.
