      Taran Butler...

In 2013 had the opportunity to RO Taran at the Three Gun Nationals in Vegas. The stage I was on was all three shot in two bays that adjoined. Pistol was shot first, then on the shotgun and rifle in the second bay. Jay Worden was the CRO on the stage and had told the competitors to have a...

      SCCC USPSA Sunday Nov. 13,2016.

Looks like there needs to be a little bit of "old and slow " added to the misfits. Please put me in with this questionable group just to provide a little bit of old time stability. Looking forward to a good day on Sunday

      New Revolver Grand Master

Maybe this is already common knowledge, but just noticed in my new issue of Frontsight that Bosshoss a.k.a. Paul Francis was listed as a new Revolver Grand Master. Quite an achievement Paul, congrats. Tom

Hi Allen We shoot Steel Challenge here in Clearwater every month and there is no distinction made in power factors, only the type of firearm.

South Central Gun Club November Match

The initial scoring showed me as a re-entry in Limited but I had signed up originally in production. Also Jeff S. actually shot Open but was also shown as a re-entry. The two of us were moved so we could RO a squad. Tom

      sand as tumbler media?

Thanks to all who have given their "recipes" for brass tumbling. Just finished my first tumbler load (Dillon) loaded with half walnut and half corncob with two capfuls of White Diamond liquid metal polish plus a half sheet of dryer softener for clothes. The brass was some range brass that had...

      sand as tumbler media?

Does the White Diamond Polish come in a bar or powder. If it is the bar type how do you disperse it in your tumbler?

      Loading for 9 Major

Actually the 7.8 grains does not always meet major power factor so I have factored in working up the load. Reloading ammunition must always include the safety factor. Using Vihta Vuori N37 is almost self limiting since the case is usually totally full and the powder is being compressed...

      Loading for 9 Major

7.8 grains of Vihta Vuori N37 with Montana Gold 124 Gr. JHP. works for me in my STI gun with a KKM barrel. Whether this recipe works for anyone else is pure conjecture

Indiana's only 2 division USPSA GM Chris S. - Congrats!

Chris, amazing job. I can't imagine anyone attaining GM on their first classifier strings. You're definitely in some kind of special atmosphere that most of us can only dream about. Shooting 50K rounds during the summer must have been worth it. Job well done.

      Dillon 650 Thrust Bearing Upgrade

I also have installed the thrust bearing with the washers and noticed a little bit of improvement. After contacting Dillon I did trim the detent ball spring. As I recall I clipped off at least a full coil and maybe a little more with good results. If you trim too much a new spring will be...

      Dillon 650 Thrust Bearing Upgrade

Thanks for that info on the thrust bearing. I've had problems when loading 9mm major rounds for an open gun on my 650. The shell plate advance is not totally smooth and the slight jerking throws powder out of the casing on many of the rounds. I load 8 grains of VV N37 which gives an almost...
