This is at the bottom of my message instead of the "manage attachments" button that the sites FAQ says should be there.

Okay, so here is an update.
I called Sig customer service and described the problem and they said the chips of metal missing from the bottom of the slide is totally normal and that they would not issue an RMA for an issue like that unless the chips turned into "gouges".

I was having feed issues with the P238. I bought the gun in January and never called Sig. It was a popular model with the laser and I had the chance to get most of my investment back.

newbie cleaning
I live close to an indoor range and in colder months I go sometimes 3 or 4 times a week. If I just go shoot 50 rounds over a quick lunch break, I might skip a cleaning or two but normally I try to clean it every time I shoot it.
