It is a sound suppressor but from what I've seen on YouTube its not really hearing safe, but for that price i figured i would give it a try.

check to make sure the pin holding you trigger in place is still where its supposed to be. This happened to me because the pin had backed out and allowed the trigger to move to just enough that it started firing two shot bursts.
The suppressor was $275 and i had to buy the adapter because my barrel is 7.5" , it was $45. the total price was like a little over $350 with shipping.
@poisonspyder, Thanks for the info! I contacted ops inc. and asked them a few questions and i ended up ordering one. There not as quiet as i wanted but they are priced very reasonable and the only one that i have seen for 10" uppers or less.
i recently had a similar problem with my lcr 357. I sent it back to ruger they paid shipping and in about 2 and a half weeks it came back with a new cylinder assembly. the spring that lifts the cylinder lock into place broke and jammed the trigger it too stuck back. luckily ruger has pretty good...
