Defer to the Experts. Best EDC Blade for FF/Paramedics

I'm an ER nurse and I carry a benchmade triage 915ORG at work. The safety hook (seatbelt cutter) zips through pretty much anything. I've cut leather chaps without a hitch. I got it in orange b/c people freak out when you go to use a knife on them. The orange seems less threatening and looks...

What did you get at the August 2013 Indy 1500?

I got one of the new INGO t-shirts and a couple INGO stickers for my nalgenes. The internet has ruined my ability to shop at these things. I can't justify paying upwards of 50% more just to have it in my hand at that moment. It's still nice to have it in hand to see if is what I really want or...

      What did you buy?

I bought an INGO shirt and I picked up an Esee Izula from The Knife Lady even though she wasn't there in person. Didn't see/expect any deals on ammo. A buddy of mine summed it up by saying "I remember when the 1500 was for more for the consumers. Now it's just a place for most of these guys...

      Brick & Mortar Tactical Store

Me and my buddy are planning a man date. We typically go to a far off Bass Pro or Cabela's. This time we were wanting to check out a more tactically oriented shop as opposed to hunting & fishing. Looking for AR/AK accessories, weapon lights, optics (aimpoint, eotech, acog...,) and general...

Review: Electronic Hearing Protection for Any Budget

Great information! Thanks for taking the time to do this. I have the HL's and haven't had any issues. However, I've never used any other electronic ear muff, nor do I typically shoot in ranges. I'll be getting the peltor's once these have served their time though. Thanks again.

      Sight dot fell out

Mine fell out of my 40c. I emailed them basically just to let them know. I fixed it with testor's like others here have mentioned. Worked fine. S&W wrote me back and offered to fix it. I told them I did it myself but told them I wanted to buy just the finger extension for the magazine that...

      Is Netflix worth it?

I also think it used to be much better than what it is now. I tend to watch more tv shows on it than movies... mostly because of the lack movie selection. Still worth $8. Also, you can cancel any time you want so it's not a big deal if you decide it's not for you.

      hearing protection

I have a set of the Howard Leight Impact Sport. I like them when I'm shooting with friends. When it's warmer out, they're not super comfortable though.

      What is the best camo?

What's your plan? Are you stocked up and want to stick around town to protect it? Or are you heading to the woods to live off the land? Most of my hunting clothing is RealtreeAP so I bought all MultiCam gear since the color palates are very similar and blend well. I would have bought all my...

Death and Injury toll at Little 500 Weekend in Bloomington

My buddy coaches the Cutters. He won once as a rider, and 7 times as a coach with 5 in a row up until this last race.

Death and Injury toll at Little 500 Weekend in Bloomington

They even held court on Sunday. First time offenders were offered deferral with a $424 fine, 4 hours of community service, an alcohol education class, and a year of probation. They had to be at court at 0830, pay the fine, do the community service, and attend the class all on the same day.

      AR/M4 sling for BIG guy?

I'm 6'4" 300# and I have a magpul ms3. It has quite a bit more room to extend if needed. As far as comfort... it's comfortable to me. Don't have a lot of experience with slings though, but size wise it's just fine.

Got my Aimpoint PRO today! +1 for Acme Sports Inc. in Seymour, IN

I bought an Aimpoint PRO from them as well. Had a buddy get envious and he followed suit. Really nice and knowledgeable staff at ACME.

      Optic suggestion for AR !

Well, I'm an idiot. Just saw that you were looking for a scope, not a red dot. Still think you would have better luck finding a quality scope elsewhere.

      Optic suggestion for AR !

I agree with the above response. For a wallet friendly choice, the Vortex Strikefire seems to have pretty good reviews, and it generally runs between $150 - $170. If you are willing to spend the extra money, the Aimpoint PRO is around $400.

      Any INGOers listen to hiphop/rap?

It seems kind of strange but I grew up listening to rap and country. Mostly rap in high school, mostly country now. Still listen to the majority of what Wu Tang puts out. One of the members tend perform at the Bluebird in Bloomington once a year and I go to those. That's about it though...

      Home Customization

I forgot to add that I used brake cleaner applied with a q-tip prior to painting.

      Home Customization

I've seen a ton of this type of thing, but I thought they looked cool. I painted in the color with a model brush, let it dry for about 5 min, then scraped the excess off with a business card. I let it dry again for 10 min or so then used a gun patch with a touch of paint thinner (dabbed most...

      .410 SHELLS LOADED WITH CORN?

Haven't been home in a while so I don't know how it's working out for them, but that's pretty funny.
