I received $200 in gift cards to WalMart today :rockwoot: So I figured I would buy some new optics for my AR 15. Now it appears that looking at WalMart's website they have a pretty good selection to choose from. I was leaning toward a Nikon Prostaff 3-9. Would anyone mind taking a look to see if there is a better option in that price range? I don't mind putting some cash into it if it would be a substantial upgrade.

Please keep in mind I wouldn't be shooting more than 100yds, 150 on a rare occasion.

As always thanks for any input!

I agree with the above response. For a wallet friendly choice, the Vortex Strikefire seems to have pretty good reviews, and it generally runs between $150 - $170. If you are willing to spend the extra money, the Aimpoint PRO is around $400.

Well, I'm an idiot. Just saw that you were looking for a scope, not a red dot. Still think you would have better luck finding a quality scope elsewhere.
