      I totally, 100% agree with what you are saying here. I am not on a boy-finding mission, believe me, I was married to one for nearly 20 years ;) I was just suggesting there should be a way for single men and women on here who share similar interests to get to know one another. I will look into...

      Does anyone else agree? I LOVE the outdoors, love to shoot (although still very much an amateur), and looking to meet others who enjoy the same. Has this ever been tried, or do the men just outnumber the women on here so much so that it isn't worth it...for the men anyway ;)

      Kudos to you for accepting responsibility for this - just one more reason your wife WILL want to go with you again. You obviously didn't make her feel like an idiot, and she will know she can trust you because you are taking your role in this very serious :)

      He has now said he will go shooting with me, at least a couple times to become familiar with my gun in case he needs to use it, AND to watch me and our son shoot :) That is really all I can ask for and am now quite content.

      Thank you, I will take this into consideration for sure. I am going to sleep on all of this and try to have a productive, but not pushy, conversation with him by this weekend. Wish me luck! I really do appreciate everyone's opinion and feedback, well...almost everyone's ;)

      I TOTALLY understand the love for the Marlin 60! I just bought a vintage '75 Glenfield Marlin 60 with the squirrel stock for my son for Christmas, as his first gun. I now have to buy another one as I need one for myself ;)

      Hmmmm....you might be right. This reminds me of when I finally figured out his resistance to playing Euchre! He refuses to learn it because he doesn't want anyone knowing he has no idea how to play. This took him several years to admit after many failed attempts on my part to get him to join...
