      Is anyone else getting sick of hearing/seeing the commercial from the mayors against illegal guns group?       Modifying shot gun barrel length

      I have access to a machine shop and was wondering if anyone knew if it was legal to shorten a barrel to 18.5in. I know its illegal to cut it shorter than that but I don't know if its legal to cut it down at all.
