      22 Revolver

Ruger LCR in .22 will probably last 3 lifetimes and is very light and manageable. Also, it is a great range gun for practicing mechanics with a gun very similar to the .38 revolver you will soon own! :)

Help me choose first hand gun (just for plinking/range fun, 22)

I have 1-3 and you might consider the Ruger Mk4 if it is your first gun. the Mkii can be hard to breakdown and reassemble compared to the mkiv. The Buckmark is a good gun that is as good as any on the list. I have 4 High Standards. They are all a little finicky about the ammo they each like...

      Questions for silver investors/collectors

As several pointed out Provident is decent, as is Silvertown. Make sure you know what minimum sell volume your preferred cash out company requires. There is no guarantee they will be buying if silver goes to $100 or gold to $5000. The nice thing about 90% "junk" or "constitutional" silver is...

Carmel Farmer's Market "No Firearms" signs

As I understand it the sign would not have force-of-law for private property unless the property is one that has legal standing, private school, or other off-limits locations such as govt owned buildings, etc. HOWEVER, if your are asked to leave by the owner or representative due to carrying on...

Candidates for the best REAL pocket gun.

I carry a Ruger LCR 357 in a Remora holster and it does not at all print in an obvious way. I also carry a Keltec P32. That is a small gun, but .32 Auto is a capable round. It also has a separate clip you can buy and tuck it into trunks, your cowboy boot, etc.

What Watches Do INGO Members Wear? "What's on your forearm"?

I have several Citizen's EcoDrive watches. Never need a battery, keeps good time, waterproof to 100 meters and reasonably priced. Also use the G-Shock when hunting or camping so I don't beat up my nice watches.

      Best bourbon under $50?

Blanton's is about $50 when you find it worth the extra $5. Weller's Special Reserve Wild Turkey 101 is so good! Four Roses Small batch Henry McKenna bottled in Bond Willet's (the tall skinny bottle) Knob Hill of many types! Try some Scotch! Glenlivit, Glenmorangie, and other single malts...

What are you watching on Netflix and Amazon Prime?

ON Disney, but for you Star Wars folks, Clone Wars cartoon and Rebels cartoon series are definitely designed for adults to enjoy... great times! On Prime right now Alias and Burn Notice are fun action-spy shows that have held up pretty good in my mind.

      cast iron cookware

Consider a legged dutch oven style if you think you will cook in a campfire, it can be used in an oven too, but the legs have to fit between the rack slats or set on a cookie sheet. I use new cast iron for a couple of months when new cooking anything that needs fat. I keep the heat lower and...

Is a pond a sufficient for emergency water storage?

A couple of things to consider. Where is the run off coming from, what was the use of the land where the pond sits and run off comes from? Pesticides, heavy metals, PCB's and other bad things may not biodegrade and could concentrate over time. Even higher end filtration can pass some of these...

I Lived Off Of Gardening, Fishing, Foraging, and Bartering for 30 Days

LOL, and how do they think the will preserve and store it. Also, the rest of the world will be hunting and fishing too, how do you not have your bounty stolen from you? I still put a couple of does in the freezer each year and butchering it is very time consuming as most of you know. Even...

What are some survival/first aid/ emergency gear I should know about?

Use what you have. Meaning, if you feel you have to bug out to wilderness, then take it out in the woods and live for a long weekend, or better, a week off of what you have. You will quickly find out what is useless and what is gold! Adhere to any legal or landowner regulations. Skills are...

New Marlin vs. New Winchester lever guns

I don't think you could go wrong with either. You might consider what you are going to use it for, if you you are hunting with it, you may want to go Marlin to keep the price down as the gun will see some wear. If it is mostly for the range, maybe the Winchester is a nice option as it could be...
