Hey Paul, this is Jon Hoyt from the Shooting Sports Channel. I just got my first revolver, and literally just goggled your name to talk with you about getting some work done on it. I will definitely be joining this event.
I'm building an MK12-ish rifle. Heavy 18inch barrel with rifle length gas system, and I'm wondering if I really need to stick with the rifle buffer and tube are if I can use a carbine tube with it?

I just bought an Ed Brown two-piece guide rod and am having trouble installing it. It's very difficult to get the second piece of the guide rod through the spring cleanly (if it goes in at all) and the upon disassembly it jams and I have to really work the slide to get it to budge.
I have a ParaOrdnance SSP 1911 since August- I'm getting more consistent with it but it pulls to the right. My question is: do it just need to keep practicing or maybe get a new trigger?
