      Most reliable 1911

I've owned a couple railed 1911's and didn't care for them when the light was attached. I carried a LW Commander at work for years but now carry a G17. I have several 1911's, none railed, and like them all. If you want a railed gun, get what feels good when you hold it.

      Springfield 1911

I run a G.I. guide rod in all my 1911's. That includes a Custom Springfield and a Custom Competition Colt. Don't pay any attention to the stuff on the net. I've had issues in the past with full length guide rods but never with a G.I. setup. My Ithaca WWII 45 has had a few rounds through it...

      Marlins?

I have an 1894 in 44, 336 in 35 Rem., 1895 in 45/70, and 57M in 22 Mag. The newest one was made in 2006 so all are JM models. I like them all and I do hope Ruger carries on the tradition.

      Colt Custom Competition SS 1911

For those who want to see the pistol, go to Colt.com and then Custom shop. Scroll down to Custom Competition SS. I am going to try to post a picture of the first 16 rounds at 15 yards rapid fire (about 1 per second). Aiming and slow fire improved the groups. Point shooting at 10 yards...

      Colt Custom Competition SS 1911

The Custom is hand-built and fitted in the Colt Custom shop with all top shelf parts. Looks like I'll be able to take it with me Friday and send a few down range. Looking forward to it and I will report back.

      Colt Custom Competition SS 1911

Hi all, I picked up a new to me Colt Custom Competition Stainless Steel 1911. These are from the custom shop and it shows. The fit and finish are every bit as good as my Custom Springfield. It is technically used because I'm not the first owner but it has only a few rounds through it and...

      Mossberg 930? M3000? something else?

I have a Benelli Montefeltro and really like it. Light and does not kick bad at all, even with buckshot. If you can shoot a 30-06 you can shoot a Benelli.

What to do with stainless Series 70

I don't know if this helps but I have a Colt Custom Competition Stainless and it is a great pistol. Pretty much everything I would want in a target gun. I have other carry 1911's so this one will stay in a target gun configuration.

First long range gun. Need advise on GLASS.

That Leupold scope is really fine. I shot with one at a Leupold sponsored long range event last summer. Hitting the gong at 1000+ yards is pretty cool. I would have to agree with the other poster that Trijicon scopes are also very good.

      New Glock Gen 5 26

I know it's not the coolest, latest and greatest but I picked up a new Gen 5 26 a few days ago. I've had a Sig P365 for a year or so and just never felt comfortable with it. I had a G43 before the P365 and liked it better than the Sig but wanted more rounds. I qualified with the G26 this...

      Bedside Firearm

S&W 360 with two extra loading strips and a big bright flashlight that can also be used as a club. If in need more rounds I have a G26 in same bedside safe.

Juat what is a Recoil Buffer for the 1911?

I personally don't like them. I run good quality springs in all my 1911's and that's it.

      Lever gun advice

Marlin fits your wish list and their guns are back to being reliable and well made.

      Kimber TLE Custom Opinions

I have a chance to obtain a TLE Custom for a great price. I'm interested in opinions from anyone who has actually shot the pistol. I have several 1911's already and this gun will be used as a car gun, hiking gun, etc. Thanks in advance.

      Snub nose or Shield?

I would have to vote for my S&W 360. Light and easy to shoot with 38 Spl. loads. I have and do carry a P365 but only OWB as I feel it's too heavy to carry in my pocket.

New S&W 360PD with VZ Grips

If you want to see a picture of the 360 and VZ grips you can go to the VZ Grips website and click on Customer Gallery at the top. It was in the second row at the right. 360 with black and grey grips.

New S&W 360PD with VZ Grips

There, I think I fixed the 360 and not 360PD issue. I changed the title and original post.

New S&W 360PD with VZ Grips

QUOTE: LOVE my 360PD, OP mentioned it was recently redesigned did OP get the new 360 instead of the 360PD (main difference is the 360pd has a titanium cylinder and the 360 has a normal steel cylinder ). It is the new 360 not the 360PD. I new that and typed the wrong thing anyway, oh the signs...

New S&W 360PD with VZ Grips

I tried to upload a picture but the site wouldn't let me because it said I have used too much memory. I have a belt holster that I had for a model 60 that fits great. I also have a DeSantis pocket holster that works very well. I do have an ankle holster that it fits into but haven't tried...

New S&W 360PD with VZ Grips

357 mag would be pretty stout in this package. I've only fired 38 and 38+P and those shoot very well. I'm not planning on putting any 357 through it.
