I can't make June 27th but wanted to say this is a great way to get in, get better, get out---without needing 1/2 to 3/4 of a day. Get a couple of buddies, go shoot, still have time to mow the yard, bale the hay, whatever. I will shoot this in the future if you continue to hold them. Great...
Stop being a spectator and enforce the laws Criminal mischief: Indiana Code 35-43-1-2.
50 people do it, arrest 50. 500 do it, arrest 500. Zip ties are inexpensive.
Shortly after the shooting BJ said in a video he was carrying Hornady Critical Duty 9mm...later said he has switched to a Golden Sabre load. For what it is worth. I recall hearing his girlfriend was not carrying at the time.
Learn how to fight a house fire...and secure the equipment that gives you a chance. Grid down, lights out...it could be a long time until help arrives.
Look at DOJ and FBI numbers on murders, burglaries and robberies each year...then decide whether it is wise to be trained to use a firearm, and wise to carry a firearm. Unnecessary to even look at irrelevant numbers like car wrecks. In 2018 over 11,000 murders in USA. Millions of robberies...
My main carry gun is a 1911. I have a few of them...have carried most of them at one time or another, and train will all that I carry. I vote shoot your carry gun and carry ammo and do it as often as possible---every week at a minimum.
I think the guy who killed the murderer in the Texas church did it right, 100% right.
Only thought I have is maybe there needs to be a "welcome party" at the front door for those who want to kill people inside...and if enough red lights go off...stop him before even entering the church. It...
At the end of the day the worst case scenario is the one that should be trained for---and that worst case happened last week in Texas when a murderer with a shotgun and the intent to keep using it, used it on good folks in a place of worship. Best result for that worst case is having a guy with...

This is unsolicited advice: Find a teacher that has the qualities you are looking for, and the abilities you want to try to one day have---and become his / her long-term student. If you look at successful boxers, wrestlers, mma fighters, martial artists, very few successful...
Sounds like the class made you identify some issues, and think. That is a successful class!
I try to carry both a WML and a handheld flashlight. There are times where places and things need to be seen that don't need a gun pointed at them. Flip-side is, watch the best pro shooters in the...
Flip flops are not my style...mainly because I hate flip flops...but hey, if I learn a ton from the instructor...I'm good with whatever he / she wants to wear.
If we think of a "fight" in the classic sense...I agree. Take any of the world champ females in mixed martial arts (UFC, Bellator, etc) and put them in with Henry Cejudo (current 135 pound champ) and it will be a sickening fight to watch that will end only when the ref or Henry says he is done...
Interesting points in both links.
If you get in a scrap, it is better to have some training on how to handle yourself than to not have that training. Does it guarantee that you will win the fight? Of course not. Death and taxes are about the only guarantees in life.
