      Willow Slough small game

It gets flooded in some areas. I recommend rubber boots, you never know when you’ll end up in ankle deep water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

      Willow Slough small game

I’ve only hunted at LaSalle which I think is the same. At LaSalle there are clipboards with sign in sheets for each type of game outside the headquarters building. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

      Willow Slough small game

I think this is true as well. The permit card has a space for hunter number which corresponds with the sign in sheet. I was checked while deer hunting and the CO asked for my license and permit card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

      Willow Slough small game

I haven’t hunted willow slough but I do hunt at La Salle which I think is the same but not certain. I was confused as well and asked the guy in the office how it works for deer season. At the headquarters there are clip boards to sign in on for different game. I believe small game is included...

      Do I have to wear hunter orange if . . . . . .

Since I’m bow hunting public land and considering how many others I’ve already seen this year I think I’ll just stay out of the woods until the 3rd. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any clever designs for a fairly solid ground blind out there?

Sounds good, how many people would you say can comfortably fit in the OX5? I’m also wondering if I brushed it in on the edge of a bean field for deer how long do I need to wait before hunting out of it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any clever designs for a fairly solid ground blind out there?

I’m looking for something like this too. I have 4 kids, probably won’t find anything that big. I’ve been looking at the double bull deluxe but was hoping to not spend that much money. How does the quality compare to the double bull? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Getting into archery hunting/ buying first bow

This is a good point and I have had a few headaches with service. Fortunately I live close to a store and it hasn’t been too much of inconvenience. I’m just thinking for someone trying to keep the cost low it can be worth dealing with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any clever designs for a fairly solid ground blind out there?

This sounds like a good idea. I’m thinking to make a grass and stick blind woven with bailing twine and staking it down somehow. Since I’m hunting public I won’t be out much if it gets taken. I don’t think it will with where I’m at though. I want to leave it up for the deer in a bean field I see...

What’s your favorite semi-auto for conceal carry?

I think I’ll check out some subcompact single stacks in 9mm. I know there’s a ton of discussion between calibers. My thoughts are if the ammo is cheaper than I’ll shoot more and be more proficient with the 9mm. I’m leaning towards a Glock or the XDS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Getting into archery hunting/ buying first bow

I just started bow hunting last year and have done quite a bit of research over the past few. My opinion is the Cruzer is a good starter bow that comes with decent accessories like a whisker biscuit rest and trophy ridge sight. I’m probably going to get a Cruzer for my kids to grow with since...

Thanks, I make sure I do it right. I grew up hanging out with a game warden so I’ve seen what happens when laws are broken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m wondering where i could get a deer processed in NWI?

Good to know. I’d like to do it myself but don’t know if I’ll have time and I don’t have a grinder. Might be getting one though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That sucks, and pretty amazing that you caught them. I’m using a hang on stand that I will leave up and a tree stand cable lock. I’m hoping it gets left alone. Since I have climbing sticks I may just take them all with me to make the stand harder to get to, or leave the top one or two so I don’t...
