      I made the comment because I have an AR-10 chambered in .308 vice 7.62. I learned that information because I spoke with the manufacturer, Midwest Industries, on what can be fired through what. I realize you were trying to buy a gun and I was simply providing input so if you wanted to put 7.62...

      Body armor

      I recommend starting with soft armor, then front and back ceramic plates, then sides plates (if you want them). This way you can build your protection over time as your budget allows. Soft armor will stop most pistol rounds and shrapnel, while you need hard plates to stop rifle rounds. Ideally...

      Actually, any gun chambered in .308 will fire 7.62 just fine. I recently bought an AR-10 chambered in .308 and confirmed it will fire either. Hope this helps!

      I like it! I just got a Yugo myself similar to you last pick, except mine has a composite handguard. Interesting aiming with the stock and fun to take apart. Good post!
