      Long Gun Show and Tell

      Had three of my Garands out last week and decided to put the bayonets on them for a little picture.

      "Woman buys rifle to destroy it"

      Who was the one female politician who filmed herself cutting the end of the barrel off of an AR15, thus making an illegal SBR, and posting it online? I could only hope all of these morons do that and get arrested for making an illegal SBR.

      Hotel = jail annex

      That would be the one. They kind of spruced up the outside finally, but its still nasty. I hardly see anyone there aside from the long term live ins and some cheap construction crews. Most of the business is police related, felons and people with nowhere to go.

      Hotel = jail annex

      We have one of these in Huntington, an old Days Inn. It's where the police put people up who have nowhere to go. I get itchy just driving by and imaging how dirty the place is.

      Florida man...

      Florida man arrested for having sex with miniature horse on several occasions. I wish I hadn't googled that with my DOB...

      Which is better, oil vs grease for firearms?

      I use Lubriplate on my Garands and M14, a jar lasts a very long time.

      One ugly home made shotgun

      This is what happens with Bubba gets a hold of grandpa's old shotgun and has a few too many. Put it out of its misery at this point.

      Really am I missing something?

      I'm sure they'd love the Hillary targets

      The Official Hot Rod Thread - Part 3: Money Pit Anonymous

      Thank you, my dad painted the car himself in our garage probably 12 or so years ago. He's had Mopars since he was a teenager in the 80s, before this it was a 68 Dart.

      Garand Correcting

      I really hope he didn't buy repro stamps and then stamp an original stock, that would really ding the value of the rifle, let alone the stock itself. I have two Harvesters, but both are essentially unissued following mid 60s arsenal rebuilds, so I'm not touching them.

      Garand Correcting

      You can go on the CMP forum and put in a request on the SRS thread with the serial number. It's a compiled database from national archive records on all sorts of US military arms, if you're lucky you might find out your rifle was issued to a certain unit or in a ship's armory at some point. Even...

      The Official Hot Rod Thread - Part 3: Money Pit Anonymous

      Throwing these out there. The first picture is my grandpa's 1964 Impala SS. I was lucky and blessed enough to inherit it in May. He was the original owner, so it's staying in the family for good. We managed to find pretty much every original sales and ownership document related to the car...

      Garand Correcting

      Bear with me, this will be lengthy, I thought I would share my experiences in correcting an October 1940 reciever to as original as I can get it. These early rifles are very expensive to do and require lots of patience and hunting for parts. This came to me as a CMP service grade, with basically...

      I'm not sure why, other than just because.....

      My Model 12 trench gun is probably my favorite of everything that I own. These shotguns just look right, not to mention, slam fire capability....

      CMP finds, let's show what we got...

      I would love to make a trip to the south store and snag one or two of the Winchester service grades they're putting out. I already have two IHC. I just mail ordered another rifle yesterday, hopefully I get lucky again.

      im a new garand dad!

      You could email the CMP, but I believe there is a fee for checking serial numbers. The newer CMP stocks have the CMP over the DOS inside of a box on the left side, where cartouches are traditionally located. Never heard of one in a circle on the heel, unless it's an older one.

      This Mauser thing is getting out of hand.

      I thought between that sarcasm and my follow up post, I wouldn't be taken too seriously. I wouldn't pay a hundred dollars for one of his butch jobs.

      im a new garand dad!

      Wood Cleaning Article - Civilian Marksmanship Program This is what the CMP has for guidance. Military stocks had an open grain and obviously no shellac. I have one Garand that is a rebuild and has a very blonde birch stock, and another rebuild in a birch stock that is dark and highly figured...

      This Mauser thing is getting out of hand.

      They weren't lying! Original and matching from the day they left Bubba's table at the Mitchell's butcher shop!

      This Mauser thing is getting out of hand.

      There's a real nice Mitchell's K98 on GB for a cool $2k if you want another, shows location as Kokomo! Your chance to own a totally legit numbers matching rifle with a totally real German proof that isn't a Russian capture X with another line through it. I'm only on one Mauser right now, a...
