Doug was a great guy. I loved stopping in there to browse around and listen to the stories him and Mr.Matlock would tell. He was a great guy and a true sportsman. He will be missed greatly.
My dads 72 now and after 20 years on Ipd( pre impd days) and 10 years US Marshalls service dads gotten to the point he is losing guns, he's lost two in the last two months and has had the police come by for a report of being stolen just to have it turn up in a jacket pocket a week later. This...
After reading all the info on the forum and seeing pictures of them I have a bad feeling a 2075rami is coming home here very soon. There's just something about that gun that's calling my name badly. I blame you guys lol
I'd say some people buy them just because they like the gun and think it would be nice to have just incase. Just Saturday I picked up a nib except for the factory test round Ruger sp101 and the test cars November of 2012. Paid $400 for it and thought it was a decent deal. My dads the same way...
The first gen 24/7 was a good gun functionally, never missed a beat. I should have kept that one. After slipping my buddy Carl at work $20 to look the one I got from name with held it functions fine now it's just missing the trigger safety. Now to pick up my new Ruger 101 in the morning to get...
Karma will fix him I believe that. He's a reason why people get a bad taste In there mouth about gun owners. I've learned my lesson that's for sure and I want to personally thank all the mods we have here. They really do help make this site a great place to be a member of and I'm proud to say...
No they were not, he sent me pics of it though. You couldnt see the front of the trigger guard or trigger very well in the pics. It's been over 24hoirs since I first contacted him and he hasn't replied to any text messages and has been on the forum off and on.
Well I'm not going to make his name public to prevent a crap storm that's not going to solve anything. From what I can tell he is not going to fess up to anything and make it right on his part. Il take this with a grain of salt and do better research on the seller in the future. Thank you all...
There a decent beginners 1911, mim parts and decent fit and finish. Plainfield shooting supplies had a Springfield range officer for $709 last time I talked to them and there one of my favorite stock 1911's for the money.
I'm going to give him 24hours from when I first pm'd him yesterday asking to make a deal, if he don't respond by then to make it right then I'm going to bring it out in the open so I know everybody else will have the heads up on him. Going to make the call to Taurus on lunch to see about them...
If he does not offer to make it right il have it shipped back to Taurus and fixed right so if I ever sell it or trade it the new owner will have a safe and fully functional gun.
I contacted him and he said he had bought it second hand and it was like that. Churchmouse has pm'd me about it. If he makes it right I will say he made it right but I just wanted to get opinions and give people the heads up to not do what I did by not looking the weapon over better.
Atleast he was honest enough to offer the extra magazine he had for it:rolleyes:. No offer
of taking it back though. He got a nice Ruger sr45 out of the deal.
I won't but my assistant who's in Jamaica on leave will gladly help you with shipping. He'll send a western union money gram for $5,000 to cover the cost and your troubles.
