      Doug was a great guy. I loved stopping in there to browse around and listen to the stories him and Mr.Matlock would tell. He was a great guy and a true sportsman. He will be missed greatly.

      No they were not, he sent me pics of it though. You couldnt see the front of the trigger guard or trigger very well in the pics. It's been over 24hoirs since I first contacted him and he hasn't replied to any text messages and has been on the forum off and on.

      There a decent beginners 1911, mim parts and decent fit and finish. Plainfield shooting supplies had a Springfield range officer for $709 last time I talked to them and there one of my favorite stock 1911's for the money.

      If he does not offer to make it right il have it shipped back to Taurus and fixed right so if I ever sell it or trade it the new owner will have a safe and fully functional gun.

      I contacted him and he said he had bought it second hand and it was like that. Churchmouse has pm'd me about it. If he makes it right I will say he made it right but I just wanted to get opinions and give people the heads up to not do what I did by not looking the weapon over better.

      Atleast he was honest enough to offer the extra magazine he had for it:rolleyes:. No offer of taking it back though. He got a nice Ruger sr45 out of the deal.
