I have no skin in the game here- just passing along something new to me and that I thought was pretty cool. I was invited to review this, and have cooked several things in it since. It works very well. https://wirednotrec.wordpress.com/2022/10/21/gosun-sport-solar-oven/
So i was researching rainwater collection systems, and i was thinking. I want a tank big enough to run my entire house. Need it to run on solar panels.
So i'm thinking -
Solar water pump with filter(to make it drinkable)
Solar hot water heater
I just want to be self sufficient and not use...
Anyone have any experience with solar power for off grid locations?
Interesting in knowing what functional system would cost and what exactly would be needed.
I don't expect it to run everything in a typical house. Only want to run a Fridge/Freezer, a few LED light, maybe a fan or two, and...
Has anyone built, bought, own, and/or used a solar water distiller?
If yes, where did you get it?
How did you build it?
How well did it work?
What did you store the distilled water in?
Any other info?
Thanks.
