Was a busy weekend in Chicago. 8 dead, 44 others wounded. So I guess the gun ban isn't really working. Kinda thinking even if there was no ban that it would be this bad. Just the mentality of the people there.

Let me see, hot weather, street gangs, school's out, and a mayor who refuses to allow citizens to arm and protect themselves, and their property. I spend 11 hours a day 5 days a week in this cesspool, and believe me if I did not have to be there I wouldn't. I am licensed to carry a firearm in Indiana, but it is illegal for me to protect myself in Illinois, where I really need to.

Yeah, their government wants this to be the case. They want for us civi's to RELY on the government to protect us from the criminal element.

Screw that.... I have a personal boycott of Illinois based businesses and sports teams (similar to how all the lefties are boycotting AZ) because of their blatant disregard for the constitutional rights of its residents and visitors.

I had to work there today. I was in decent neighborhoods, but it still makes you nervous.

Come to think about it, I think last week was when they were doing disaster training in the city. National Guard and some other agencies would've been present. Maybe all the killings were put on hold for the week and everything exploded on the weekend. Only time I willingly go to Illinois is if the g/f wants a bottle of wine on Sunday, or if we want to go to BW3 over there since it's the first business on the Illinois line which means no smoking.
