Give your daughter a hug for me. Must be hot in here, I think my eyes are sweating. Funny true story, I've been friends with Lance for a while. We went out to a paintball party and he broke his ankle. He ended up living with me until it healed. He's a very nice guy with a heart the size of a whale. It would be easy for me to go on about how he would do anything for anyone even to his own detriment, however I'm still in awe over your daughter and think she needs Some kudos. As a kid, I wouldn't part with any of my toys for anyone, let alone someone that I didn't know. The purity of your daughters heart makes me feel good that the future will soon be in her hands.

Forget the "dust in the room" excuses. I'm crying like a baby. That's just amazing thing do....both that officer AND your daughter. You're clearly raising her right!I hope he does.These officers need our support.

I appreciate everyones praise on the way we have chose to use this as a lesson and teach Mackenzie something.
But what was more important for me was to make sure this story was heard. The news is quick to cover a bad story and I didn't want to let a good story aboutthe police go to waste.

I was watching the Ch. 13 coverage of the funeral and the question was asked of the officer in studio what would happen to the pieces of the memorial on Ofc. Renn's car. He stated that the family would get the vast majority of it, but that things like the teddy bears would go into the teddy bear program for kids who need a friend during a tragedy.
