I emailed CMP customer service for status of order I mailed in early this month. The next day they replied with date they received my order, confirm order will be filled at then current price, and they were processing orders received Jan 22 which gives me some idea of lead time.

Great experience for first time customer.

Great buying experience for me. The postal service screwed up my "priority mail" and CMP went and found it and the "Rusty Kimber I got was scratch free and no "rust" unless you count the preservative on the parts that cleaned up beautifully. I saw photos from a guy on another forum who stripped the Kimber finish and after many coats of hand-rubbed tung oil had an absolutely gorgeous piece of work, which some buyer snatched up right away.
