I've had to do the same thing twice (to a front night sight they installed originally, so that's three trips to them for the same thing). This last time I was accused of hitting the front sight with a hammer to drift it, thus causing the tritium vial inside to break.

I did nothing of the sort, of coursem and told them so. I merely fired the gun for a few dozen rounds of 230gr ball, some 230 Gold Dots and some 230 Gold Dots loaded by Georgia Arms in new Starline brass.

So then I was accused of shooting +P ammo through it.

What the real problem is, the Meprolite tritium vials they install are either garbage, or they have really crappy QA/QC and just some of their vials are garbage. I've never broken a night sight insert that originated from Trijicon or PT.

I've now had three (two front and one rear on another gun) of the Meprolite/Kimber sights break, and the only reason it isn't four is because I've not yet fired the gun again.

So I've had some good experiences with their customer service in the past, but I didn't appreciate being accused (literally accused) of doing things I did not do because they don't want to admit their product won't tolerate normal use.
