10/22 question

My 10/22 came with a 18" barrel. can I replace it with a 16" barrel?

As meantioned yes you can. It is an easy swap. If I may ask, why are you wanting a shorter barrel? Just curious.

If you are swapping for the most obvious reason of upgrading to a bull barrel, you will also have to change or modify the stock to accommodate the .920 diameter barrel.
