I have been debating this myself for a few months and I think i have this ironed out, but was curious what the consensus would be here. I think i am going to go with the 10.5 with end mount suppressor for a few reasons: OAL is shorter... OAweight is less... easier to switch suppressor from weapon to weapon.

I already have done some research and know what to expect with terminal velocities vs barrel length vs ammo used. I was curious what others opinions are and why?

I have a 10.5 and AAC m4-2000. I appreciate it's compactness but everyone seems to say that running a 10.5 with a flash hider will dramatically reduce the cans life cycle. Given this, I run a brake mount, which is wildly load without the can. If I could do it over again I'd still skip the reflex can, you have to remember that 12.5 + can feels like a heavy 16" upper. I'd get a light can, 11.5 upper with brakeout, and consider a Switchblock like pictured. Enjoy! It'll be fun.

For me, I'd take a shorter, lighter, more compact SBR package any day of the week.

The 12.5" will give it more time for the powder to burn before entering the can. Not much but every little bit helps cutting the erosion down. Are you looking at running it suppressed all the time? I have ran both a 10.5" with a flash hider mount and a 12.5" with a ops inc reflex. I am a big fan of the ops inc set up. I set it up with the purpose of only being ran suppressed.
