If I had to guess I'd say you'll be able to find at least one or two. You might contact ZX gun, they pretty much rule the local handgun retail market in my opinion. I'm sure they would bring one to the show if you asked, assuming they have or can get one.

Honestly, unless things are remarkably different at this 1500, your best bet is actually to check your local Gander Mountain and see if they have it on sale (literally the only time you'll hear me say that, as their ammo prices are normally absurd). I've picked up a decent amount of American Eagle 5.7x28 for $23 or less a box. At the 1500, they have been much higher.

Now, if you are stuck with your heart set on actual FN 5.7, then you might end up having to pay a premium.

Though PSA appears to be selling FNH 5.7x28mm 40gr V-MAX 50rds SS197SR for $23.99 a box right now (plus shipping).

He was asking about the FN Five-seveN pistol, not 5.7 ammo.

Look at the AR57 platform...might solve both your needs. You can still find good deals on just the uppers if you are vigilant and scan the forums and sale sights.

If you buy one, take it from me. The next gun on your list is going to be the PS90. Who can live without a matched set? The damned things are addictive.

This is a true story... I bought my 5.7 in 2009 and a year or so later a PS90 just so happened to follow me all the way home. The match set I had to have. Finding the ammo and getting it at a decent price is the difficult part.

I went to the last 1500 looking for ammo and mags for my 5.7 - the prices were stupid. $30+ per box of SS197, and $40+ per 20 round factory mag.

I ended up spending my money on other goods. I did see at least two 5.7 USG pistols for sale in the $1,000+ range. No 5.7 MKII models though.

I'd say finding the ammo is easy. Its just that there was/is no inexpensive plinking ammo availible for it. The American Eagle promissed to be that, but it sells for about $23 per box, so its not really any cheaper than the hollowpoints. I still think the price of SS197 (uses Hornady hollow points) is comperable to what you would pay for a box of 50 premium hollowpoints for any other cartridge ($30+ per box). Its not cheap at all, but its not like trying to buy 43 Egyptian, or 300 Warbird or something rediculous. Its do-able.
