17HM2 was always a caliber I wished I had gotten into. I sometimes very casually wonder if I made an error when I passed on a Spike’s Tactical 22LR SBR upper custom built for their owner in 17HM2. I still remember cases of ammo on closeout for $220/5k, but that was twice the cost of Federal 22LR at the time.

Seems like a superb little round going the way of 5mm Remington due to the unfortunate luck of rushed designs and (roughly) similar introduction time of 17HMR.

The 17 Mach 2. I just picked up 1,000 round last week over in the marxist state if illinios. Looks as if they have just made another run of the 17 HM2 (mach 2).

Volquartsen just brought out thier version of the 10/22 chambered in .17 Mach II. I think they worked with CCI on some new ammo for it also.
