185 grain 9mm JHP - Seismic Ammo

I was looking for some subsonic ammo today and stumbled across Seismic Ammo… they make a 185 grain JHP in 9mm that still hits 900-1000 fps. I was intrigued and wondered if anyone here had tried it out!

This probably will be +P or +P+ to get that velocity with that heavy bullet in a 9mm.

1050-1100fps with 147gr is +P.



This is basically taking a 9mm to a 40 Short & Weak level.

Yeah, I think that’s where those special cases come in.

Doesn't Black Hills offer a +P 230gr .45acp pushing 950fps? How would this 9 be better?

Yes, that’s what I alluded to in my OP. I ran across this ammo because I was looking for subsonic JHP options (for a suppressed AR9) and just wondered if anyone else had used this particular ammo. . .

Depending on the heat, elevation, and how it's loaded.

I fully realize this makes me a weirdo (especially on this forum), but I don’t own any .45 ACP guns. 9mm and 10mm are the only pistol calibers I keep.

I only own .45 so I get you. I decided a long time ago to consolidate and call it a day
