Over my lunch hour, Miguel Jr. and I went to the Connor Prairie President's Day event.
While there, he was able to fire (powder only) a '61 Springfield rifle, after a presentation by a Civil War reenactor from the 49th Indiana: 49th Indiana Civil War Reenacting Unit -- dude was great working with all the kids who had lined up to take a shot.
This was his first experience with black powder and he enjoyed it. Not sure he's ready to trade in his Crickett for it, but he had a great time!
