Sometimes you run into things that you aren't really looking for, but just can't pass up, this was one of those. It is a Chilean 1895 7mm Mauser. It is completely numbers matching, without import marks, and appears to be virtually unused. The stock is very nice but also very dry, so I think it will get a good cleaning and a new coat of oil. I already have an 1895 in a carbine length, I suppose now I will have to look for a short rifle to round out the set.

That's a nice one! Does the stock still have a date stamped on it?

You might want to look on the bottom of the barrel near the muzzle for the old style Century import mark. They are very small.
