I just can't pull the trigger on a 9mm 1911. I thought I wanted something different this time but for the life of me I can't do it.
    Went with the Springfield Loaded.
I am really boring when it comes to my handguns, all I want is a 1911. I'm so boring I want em stock as well.
Maybe one of these days Don P.

I'm not seeing it. I can't seem to be stuck on any one pistol. I enjoy the Sig P226, H&K VP9, XDm tactical in 9mm, M&P 9, G19 and the Springfield RO 9mm. Then of course the long list of 45's I shoot including the 1911's. I can't get enough of either caliber and always enjoy them equally.

    9mm 1911s are fun.

For years the pistol safe was diverse.
Lately I have zeroed in on what I shoot the best and always have. Yeah, 1911's. All are in .45 ACP. I have ran several in 9mm and they are easy to shoot, stay on point with reduced recoil but I must be a recoil junky.
I tune my own and they are all a joy to run.
I do understand why folks leave them stock with no mods but I have never been able to leave anything alone.

Full size 1911 in 9mm makes a great combo for the wife, or any "firsties" you may be instructing. Plenty of heft to help steady the aim, the sweetest trigger stroke, dead nuts accuracy, and minimal recoil add up to a FUN, productive day at the range with attendant smiles. Lots more fun when transitioning from a .22 than a krunchenticker or knucklebuster wheelgun.:twocents:
