I've read all over the place that it doesn't matter that it's loose, but I'd like to fix it before I lose the darn thing. I don't have calipers so don't know if my pin is too small or the holes are too large or what. I'm assuming I can just get a slightly larger diameter barrel link pin someplace? Are those expensive? Anyone here got a parts drawer full of them that would be willing to let me root around and find a good fit for a great price?

    Thanks in advance!

Brownells has pins and links, If the pin falling free while the barrel is removed is the biggest problem, you may be able to SLIGHTLY peen the pin while the linkis installed with a punch and hammer. Do not be tempted to beat it like a rivet. You don't want to permanently mess up a barrel for a small fix. I have to side with those who say, "It does not really matter". Good Luck
