1911 grips in Indy?

Used the search function but didn't have much luck. Is there a store in the Indianapolis area that stocks 1911 replacement grips?

Just picked up a used 1911 and don't like the ones it came with.

I'm not sure if this is something most gun stores keep in stock or not.

Not to my knowledge, the Indiana Gun Club (AKA 1911 Heaven) does not stock very many at all. I personally recommend VZ grips their stuff is top notch and they use everything from G10, Canvas Micarta to Carbon Fiber.

These are the EDC Frag Patter carbon fiber grips they are very grippy and look nice on my Operator I think.

I'll go with Mr. Dean Crail. I have the VZ Operators on my duty 1911. Wonderful, great surface treatment.

He makes grips, I've looked at them every gunshow he's at and they are nice

I put VZ grips on all my pistols that aren't polymer. I'd put them on my revolvers if they made them for the ones I own. VZ grips are top notch in my book.

I need to go to ZRTS this week since they are just north of my Veterinarian's Office. Afterwards, I'm going to head north to Walnut Creek Outfitters in Gas City. I'll have myself a nice afternoon road trip. Anyone else want to tag along?

INGOer Cameramonkey PM'd me after he saw this thread and hooked me up with a great deal on a nice set of VZs. While I'm not sure they would have been my first choice in color if I was paying full retail, I couldn't pass up the deal on new grips and bushings. So +1 to Cameramonkey, and thanks again sir.
