So I enjoyed the 1911 Workshop so much that I thought I would work on another 1911 and do the same EGW ignition kit that I did on my Springfield.

I have run into a problem - - the kit does not come with a hammer strut pin and the pin from the old hammer does not fit the new EGW hammer strut. (see below)

Is it alright to ream out the hammer strut pin hole in the new hammer, or should I try to file down the pin? Any suggestions appreciated as I do not want to mess this up at this price.

Glad to see you got your info, Fiddle. We are spoiled to have access to CM, AllenM, and Drillsgt.

I am hopeful that we will be able to get another workshop put together next year. The last one was such a great experience!
