Looking at picking up one of the GSG 1911s before long for a fun gun, and got some sight questions...

Thinking about using it for a NFA gun (probably Tac-65) and from what I can tell, this will block the factory sights, correct?

Does anyone know of an inexpensive but decent holosight or red dot that will mount to the rear dovetail? Would I be better off having the frame drilled and tapped and using a traditional mount?

It looks like the Leupold Deltapoint reflex might have a mount that fits a 1911 (going by the pic on their website) and says it fits "1911 Standard (Colt)". Does the GSG have a standard Colt rear dovetail?

This will just be for plinking/fun shooting, so no restrictions or rules to worry about, probably won't be carried, so holsters probably won't be an issue... If so, I can always go with an open top competition style holster...

Edit: After checking prices on the Deltapoint, it's probably more than I want to spend, but still nice to know if it'd work...
The Burris FastFire looks like a better option...

Over the at the 1911 forum they are pronouncing the rear to be a true novak and the front to be "novak", but perhaps requiring some very light filing on the front sight to make the dovetail fit. I admit that I havent tried to change my sights yet, even though my GSG is shooting a tad high.

Well the rear is what I'm more worried about anyway. If I'm going to replace it with a Burris Fastfire or similar, I'd just find a dovetail slot filler for the front... Especially with a can down the road...
