Greetings to the good folks of Bradis!

I've finally been bitten by the 1911 bug. Never thought it would happen, but there ya go.

I'd REALLY like to get a .45 1911 that has a .22 conversion for plinking fun, and I understand Kimber has one. Do you have those around the store? I'd love to swing by Monday and get a couple of new toys -- the .45/.22, and maybe a Ruger New Bearcat in stainless to allow me to live out my childhood Lone Ranger fantasies. :)

    And maybe a Tokarev.

And... well, you know me. I have no self-control in your store. :)

Why not purchase a .45 and a GSG 1911. It has enough 1911 parts in it that 80% can be switched out with factory 1911 parts. Same size and feel as the big boy.

What simon6101 said. Kimber makes a very nice 1911 .22 conversion, but they are :spend: and the wait would be lengthy. Ditto for Advantage Arms. The GSG1911 is a fine gun, doesn't run much more than either of the aforementioned conversion kits, and is in-stock NOW in two different flavors.

Thanks for the spiffy new toys! I can't wait to try 'em out.

And, you know, that bird's head grip isn't nearly as weird feeling as I thought it would be.

    You're a prince!
