1911 question

I am looking to get my 1st 1911 for my 40th birthday ( from my wife.) in the next couple of weeks. I am looking in the $1000 range. Where around Indy has the best selection in stock now to look at? I like the Springfield TRP ( I know it is out of my price range.) but want something along those lines. Open to suggestions.

Pre-hysteria I'd say to get a nice Colt Railgun, Colt 70 Series reissue, a new Springfield Loaded with night sights .

I love my SW1911, cost me $899 at Big R a couple years ago. I don't know what all this craziness has done to the prices of 1911's these days, but the fit and finish on the SW1911's is pretty damn good for the price.

Elmore's has a decent selection. The Outdoorsman is less than a mile down the road and also usually has 5 to 10 in the case. Both shops can be pricey, but both will deal a little bit too.

Any of the Remington R1 Enhanced is in the price range. Great shooters too.
