1911 Research your go to source?

Aside from the Mouse. Where do you look for credible information on a particular 1911? Long story short had on my short list a Garrison and a Vickers. After I found out the Vendor that was advertising the Vickers as being in stock was exaggerating to put it nicely.

so now it’s between a Garrison and a Standard Manufacturing Government size 1911. Seems like the Standard on checks off more of the expensive boxes like front strap checkering etc.
